Charlie Dossetter played the ITF Junior De Saint-Francois tournament which was held in Guadeloupe, from April 16th – 21st. He and his doubles partner, Derrick Chen (who often trains at Saddlebrook) were Finalist in the doubles event.

Chinese Students Tour Saddlebrook Preparatory School
Four students from China toured Saddlebrook Preparatory School on Friday, July 22, 2016, after Howard Moore, Program Director of Saddlebrook’s Tennis Academy visited China in May. The students and coaches were very excited to learn about the unique educational opportunities that Saddlebrook Preparatory School had to offer all student athletes. Li Meien (Li), 9, from Bejing, Su Yuchen (Sam), 11 and Chen Yinjia (Kellen), 12, from Quanzhou, and Liu Shuzhi (Nick), 13, from Changsha attended Saddlebrook’s Summer Tennis Academy and received ten hours of Academic English Language Instruction from Ms. Moroney, an ESOL Teacher at Saddlebrook Preparatory School. Students were kept busy with a very full schedule while attending Saddlebrook’s Tennis Academy. Their daily schedule included: breakfast, morning tennis lessons, two hours of instruction in academic English, lunch, afternoon match play, and performance training. The student and coaches were very excited about touring the school and becoming a possible Spartan in the future.

Fed Cup - Layne Sleeth
Layne Sleeth (first on the left), with her Canadian under-16 Fed Cup team. The U16 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas is being played in Boca Raton, from April 28-May 1st. This is the qualifying event with the top 2 countries moving on to the final in Budapest in September.
The Canadian team plays Puerto Rico first, then Mexico, and then the USA.
Layne is from Toronto. She is a Freshman this year and her brother, Connor, is a Junior.

Congratulations so Saddlebrook Prep senior Rachael Reichenbach on her 5th place finish at the USTA Florida Level 5 tournament at Academia Sanchez-Casal BG18s, in Naples, Florida. Rachael has been at Saddlebrook Prep four years and will be attending Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, this Fall.

54th Junior Orange Bowl Tennis Championship
The tournament is being held in Miami, Florida, from December 12th to 22nd.
Jinge “Michael” Yang – Michael won his first round of Boys’ 14s Consolation this morning. He’ll be playing the 2nd round this afternoon. Michael is a Freshman this year. This is his second year at Saddlebrook. Michael is from Shanghai, China.

Sean Burnette
Congratulations to Sean Burnette (left) with Coach Zack Quigley for winning the boys' 18 singles competition at the USTA Open Regionals tournament held in Amelia Island, Florida, November 27th – 29th. Sean is a Senior this year and has been in our full-time tennis program since the beginning of his 7th grade. He will be attending North Carolina State in Fall 2016, where he’ll be studying Textile Engineering.

Noah participated in the USTA Florida Level 5 North Miami Boy’s & Girl’s 18s which was held in North Miami from 11/21/15 – 11/23/15.
Noah won the “back draw” of the Boys’ 18s Singles event. Noah is currently a Sophomore. This is Noah’s third year at Saddlebrook.
