Ed Braddy

AP Biology Teacher

Mr. Braddy is a member of the science department at SPS.   He received an undergraduate Science Education degree and a Master of Education degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa.   In addition to teaching AP Biology at SPS, he enjoys working as an AP Biology consultant for teachers at one-day and multi-day College Board endorsed workshops.  He is a reader for the AP Biology Exam and is currently serving as a co-chair for the College Board AP Biology Course and Exam Development Committee.  Mr. Braddy was named Teacher of the Year while teaching at JW Mitchell High School in 2010.  He has twice received the Florida West Coast Engineering Alliance IEEE Lignell Award, an award which recognizes and honors outstanding contributions by teachers of students in mathematics and science pre-college education programs.  He enjoys helping students engage in science research projects, and he has attended science and engineering fairs with students for several years.  Mr. Braddy enjoys working with staff and students at Saddlebrook Preparatory School in a unique setting that blends academics and athletics.

Mrs. Natalie Edgeman

Mrs. Natalie Edgeman

High School Science

Mrs. Edgeman is a native Floridian, born in Tampa, Florida.  She graduated from the University of South Florida with a double major in Biology and Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences.  Mrs. Edgeman has taught many different science courses throughout her 15 years of teaching, mostly in Pasco County Schools, but her favorite courses are those with field experience such as Environmental and Marine Science.   She enjoys TaeKwonDo, singing, and many types of arts and crafts.  Mrs. Edgeman is joining SBP full-time for the 2016-2017 school year teaching Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Marine Biology, and has previously taught summer courses for Saddlebrook Prep.

Mrs. Bette Horsington

Mrs. Bette Horsington

High School Mathematics

Mrs. Horsington was born and raised in Massachusetts and graduated with an honors bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Bridgewater State College. She has taught at International schools in Kuwait, Germany and Peru for 21 years.  Moving to Florida in 2014 with her husband and two children to be closer to her parents, she worked at Carrollwood Day School for a year before taking a one year sabbatical to recharge her teaching batteries.  She is looking forward to working at Saddlebrook Prep with the many international students using her skills she learned living in different cultures. In her free time you can find Mrs. Horsington spending quality time with her family either at home or at Disney World.

Ms. Rebecca Musco

Ms. Rebecca Musco

Middle School Math, Science, English, Reading

Rebecca Musco grew up in Florida and attended school in Tampa.  She has lived in the Wesley Chapel area for twenty years.  Ms. Musco earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Florida in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Education. She is entering her nineteenth year as a teacher; her fifth year at Saddlebrook Preparatory School.  She previously taught at Christ Our Redeemer in Temple Terrace, Florida for fourteen years.
 
In her spare time, Ms. Musco enjoys teaching group exercise classes, running, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Ron Rieber

Ron Rieber

French & Spanish Teacher

Mr. Ron Rieber was born in Brooklyn, New York and educated upstate. He attended the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service where he received his B.S. degree in 1971. Part of his undergraduate studies took him to universities in France and Switzerland. He taught for 10 years in the United Kingdom where his daughter, three granddaughters and great grandson live. Before moving to Florida Mr. Rieber taught French and history for 17 years in California, earning his M.A. in French at the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1987. He had also done graduate work in Russian in England and Italian in Italy. He has been associated with Florida tennis academies for 9 years, teaching French and Spanish. In fact, it was 20 years ago that Mr. Rieber first arrived at Saddlebrook. He loves to travel, having visited over 50 countries. He also has an extensive stamp and coin collection and enjoys the cinema, reading, and tennis. Mr. Rieber loves teaching and enjoys the relationship he has with his students and the camaraderie he shares with the Saddlebrook staff.

Erin Robison

Erin Robison

ESOL & Law Studies Teacher

Ms. Robison has been a part of the Saddlebrook family for over 4 1/2 years, the last two of which she managed the tennis department and junior camp program. Ms. Robison attended Troy University on an academic and music scholarship.  She received a dual BS in Criminal Justice and Sociology, graduating with honors.

Ms. Robison pursued a law degree and attended Western New England University on scholarship. During law school and after her graduation, she worked on a variety of types of cases, including general civil claims, criminal, constitutional and discrimination cases.  Later, after becoming a member of the Massachusetts Bar and spending a few years working for the Commonwealth, Ms. Robison transitioned her knowledge of estates and trusts into work for high net worth clients, including global wealth management at a Fortune 500 company.  She is excited to bring her creativity and life experiences to the ESOL and Social Science elective classrooms and looks forward to a positive and productive year.

Mr. Chris Rosenke

Mr. Chris Rosenke

Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Journalism, and SAT/ACT Prep

Mr. Rosenke is entering his 11th year as a teacher and his fifth at Saddlebrook Prep. He has taught in a number of environments including sports academies, the public school system, and the juvenile justice system. As a native Floridian, born and raised in St. Petersburg, he attended Northside Christian High School and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Florida. In his free time he enjoys endurance sports, football, basketball, tennis, and watching his Florida Gators.

Ms. Sarah Plummer

Ms. Sarah Plummer

AP English & English 11-12

Ms. Plummer is excited to be joining the Saddlebrook Preparatory School community this year as an English teacher. Ms. Plummer received her Bachelor of Arts undergraduate degree from the University of Miami with a double major in English and Classics with a concentration in Latin and a minor in Business Administration. She has taught English and Latin for the past seven years at a local private school, where she also coached swimming and track and field. During this time, she was awarded with an “Outstanding Educator” recognition from the University of Chicago. During her free time, Ms. Plummer enjoys reading and rollerblading.

Ms. Charity Barker

Ms. Charity Barker

ESOL & Journalism

Charity Barker is a lifelong resident of Pasco County, born and raised in Zephyrhills. She is an alumni of Zephyrhills High School, and she went on to graduate from Saint Leo University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Fresh out of high school Ms. Barker obtained her Real Estate license and worked in the family business throughout her college years. Ms. Barker spent her first year teaching at her alma mater. Charity Barker is a new addition to the Saddlebrook Prep team this year. Ms. Barker is looking forward to working in her new setting with the international and local students. In her spare time Miss Barker volunteers at her church and she enjoys reading, kayaking, traveling, and playing board games.

Mrs. La Trecia Carson

Mrs. La Trecia Carson

High School Mathematics

Mrs. Carson was born and raised Jacksonville, Florida, where she graduated from University of North Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics (Concentration in Statistics), and a minor in Spanish.  She taught various math subjects for 10 years at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts (where she had also been a student classically trained in various forms of dance!).   She then moved to the Land O Lakes/Wesley Chapel area, and had been teaching at Land O Lakes HS for the past 3 years, prior to joining Saddlebrook. 
 
In her spare time, Mrs. Carson enjoys spending time with her family, especially watching her sons play Travel Baseball.  She also loves to read, watch movies and sports, travel, and of course, cook.

Jenna Campbell

Jenna Campbell

Middle School Teacher

Ms. Campbell is entering her first year at SBP teaching the Middle School classroom. Ms. Campbell has taught in various educational environments for over ten years, and comes to SBP after teaching for three years at the collegiate level. Ms. Campbell earned her B.A. from the University of South Florida and her M.A. from the University of Central Florida. Since earning her degrees, Ms. Campbell actively pursues yearly learning opportunities and teacher training, believing that education is never complete. In her spare time, Ms. Campbell is an avid reader and researcher. She has conferenced across the U.S. and is currently working on publication. Her hobbies include outdoor activities, such as hiking and kayaking, and home activities, such as crafting and gardening. One of her quirky past times is watching documentaries and collecting fun facts for her classroom board! She appreciates spending time with her husband Michael, her family, and her dog Atlas. Ms. Campbell loves her students, has so much fun teaching, and is excited to be a part of the SBP team!
