Mr. Christopher Wester

Head Master

Mr. Chris Wester comes to Saddlebrook from the Gainesville, FL. area, where he spent the last sevens years teaching at Keystone Heights High School- while completing coursework towards his PhD in curriculum. As a twelve-year veteran teacher in both public and private schools, Mr. Wester plans to continue the tradition of academic excellence set here at Saddlebrook Prep. He has earned both a B.A. and a M.Ed degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, and helped to lead Clay County School's Curriculum Redesign in 2013. He has worked as a mentor teacher, and modeled his teaching and clasroom management methods for education students from the University of Florida. He has implemented various student outreach programs, connecting students to their communities, and helping to develop our 21st century leaders. Mr. Wester looks forward to furthering the mission of Saddlebrook Prep by assisting classroom teachers, and ensuring our shared academic vision for Saddlebrook is realized.

Mrs. Deanna Garrett

Mrs. Deanna Garrett

Director of Curriculum

Born and raised in Pasco County, Florida, Ms. Deanna Garrett comes to Saddlebrook with twenty two years of experience working in Public Education.  She earned a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Florida in Tampa and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University.  Ms. Garrett has worked as an Assistant Principal, Literacy Coach, Mentor Teacher, and as a Classroom Teacher, where she truly enjoyed working with students of all ages. She worked on committees at the District Level, one was to rewrite the guidelines for grading and assessments in the Elementary Reporting Guide and another was to develop presentations to further the knowledge base of future leaders within the school system called Engaging Leadership Learners.  Ms. Garrett will strive to continue the traditions of academic excellence established at Saddlebrook Prep.  She has two children, Austin and Zachary, and enjoys going to the beach, reading, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Sarah Bassoumi

Ms. Sarah Bassoumi

Guidance Counselor

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Bassoumi resides in Wesley chapel, Florida with her husband Moe and her 5 month old daughter, Aleena. Mrs. Bassoumi comes to Saddlebrook from the University of South Florida, where she spent the last Five years working in the financial aid office- as Senior Financial Aid Officer- while completing coursework towards her PhD in Education Management. Prior to that, she worked as an Advisor in high schools and universities for over 10 years. This is her third year as a school counselor. She considers it an honor and a privilege to have worked for Hillsborough county and Pasco county schools. She enjoys working with students and having the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children every day! Sara is fluent in Arabic. Sara enjoys running, playing basketball and food.

Ms. Donna Claggett

Ms. Donna Claggett

Administrative Manager

Born and raised in Florida, Donna Claggett joined Saddlebrook Resort in February of 1982. During this time she has held the positions of Front Desk Supervisor, Rental Manager at the Lakeside Village and Office Manager at Hopman Tennis. Since 1997 she has been the Administrative Manager at Saddlebrook Preparatory School. Donna brings together considerable experience with Resort, Hopman and Prep School operations and expertise in organizational matters.

Ms. Nona Wagh

Ms. Nona Wagh

Survey Director – Admissions

Nona Wagh came to the United States in 2001 on a full tennis scholarship to Pfeiffer University in North Carolina. Nona received her first internship program at Saddlebrook in the summer of 2003. Upon graduation in 2004 with a degree in Sports Management, she returned to Saddlebrook and joined the Tennis Academy Professional staff and also served as a Resident Assistant for the full time Saddlebrook Preparatory boarding program. Nona was then promoted to the Tennis Activities Director position from 2005 where she successfully programed the full adult and junior activities year round. Nona currently serves as the Director of Marketing and Admissions.

Ms. Terry Caskey

Ms. Terry Caskey

Academic Administrative Assistant

Terry Caskey is the academic administrative assistant in Saddlebrook Prep’s school office. She was born and raised in New Jersey. Following high school, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Moravian College, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Before moving to Florida two years ago, Terry work in the advancement office at Lehigh University and tutored international students in English. Terry and her husband have two daughters and now live in Wesley Chapel.
