Mrs. Deanna Garrett

Mrs. Deanna Garrett

Head of School

Born and raised in Pasco County, Florida, Ms. Deanna Garrett comes to Saddlebrook with twenty two years of experience working in Public Education.  She earned a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Florida in Tampa and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University.  Ms. Garrett has worked as an Assistant Principal, Literacy Coach, Mentor Teacher, and as a Classroom Teacher, where she truly enjoyed working with students of all ages. She worked on committees at the District Level, one was to rewrite the guidelines for grading and assessments in the Elementary Reporting Guide and another was to develop presentations to further the knowledge base of future leaders within the school system called Engaging Leadership Learners.  Ms. Garrett will strive to continue the traditions of academic excellence established at Saddlebrook Prep.  She has two children, Austin and Zachary, and enjoys going to the beach, reading, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Sabrina Herrera

Ms. Sabrina Herrera

Director of Curriculum & Student Services

Ms. Herrera grew up in southern Oklahoma, “Where the wind comes sweeping down the plains!”  After high school, she attended the University of Oklahoma and received her Bachelor of Science in Language Arts Education.  She loved the opportunity of being Sooner and took advantage her time as a student by being active in student organizations such as Kappa Delta Pi, Campus Activities Council, and the Hispanic American Student Association. She completed her graduate coursework from the College of Education at OU in Instructional Leadership. Ms. Herrera has worked in education for ten years as an English/Language Arts instructor.  While her career initially began as a junior high ELA teacher, she transitioned to teaching high school English taught five years at Norman North High School.  She has worked as a teacher consultant for the Oklahoma Writing Project, which is an affiliation of the National Writing Project and promotes effective professional development in teaching writing across the curriculum in all subject areas. Ms. Herrera truly enjoys working with young adults and encourages them to chase after their dreams.  In her free time you’ll find her spending time with her two dogs, reading, hand lettering, or any participating in activity that involves creativity.

Mr. Larry Robison

Mr. Larry Robison

College Planning Advisor

Originally from Kentucky, Mr. Robison attended Western Kentucky University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees.  He spent 43 years of his career as a principal/headmaster, working in both public and private education.  Having the opportunity to build a unique program and be the first headmaster at Saddlebrook Prep has been one of the most rewarding experiences in his educational career.  Currently, Mr. Robison works with all students to help them plan their futures and attain their goals while working toward the collegiate level.  He enjoys working with juniors and seniors to assist them throughout the college planning process.

Mr. Matthew Geiger

Mr. Matthew Geiger

Guidance

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mr. Geiger now resides in Paso County, FL with his wife Amie and three children Luke, Kylieann and Roman.  Mr. Geiger came to Saddlebrook from the Pittsburgh School District where he worked for 14 years as guidance counselor and ESL Coordinator.  He attended La Roche College in Pittsburgh and received his bachelor’s degree in Business Finance, Master Degree in Educational Psychology and Guidance certification from Slippery Rock University and his principal certification from California University.  He enjoys all outdoor activities especially snorkeling; paddle boarding, deep sea fishing, white water rafting, camping and spelunking.  He is excited to be a part of the Saddlebrook Preparatory School, working with all the amazing students that come from all parts of the world to study and train to be the best that they can be.

Ms. Donna Claggett

Ms. Donna Claggett

Accounting Administrative Manager

Born and raised in Florida, Donna Claggett joined Saddlebrook Resort in February of 1982. During this time she has held the positions of Front Desk Supervisor, Rental Manager at the Lakeside Village and Office Manager at Hopman Tennis. Since 1997 she has been the Administrative Manager at Saddlebrook Preparatory School. Donna brings together considerable experience with Resort, Hopman and Prep School operations and expertise in organizational matters.

Ms. Nona Wagh

Ms. Nona Wagh

Admissions, Medical, Tournaments, Transportation

Nona Wagh came to the United States in 2001 on a full tennis scholarship to Pfeiffer University in North Carolina. Nona received her first internship program at Saddlebrook in the summer of 2003. Upon graduation in 2004 with a degree in Sports Management, she returned to Saddlebrook and joined the Tennis Academy Professional staff and also served as a Resident Assistant for the full time Saddlebrook Preparatory boarding program. Nona was then promoted to the Tennis Activities Director position from 2005 where she successfully programed the full adult and junior activities year round. Nona currently serves as the Director of Marketing and Admissions.

Mrs. Katrina Keys

Mrs. Katrina Keys

Academic Administrative Assistant

Katrina Keys was born in Montreal, Canada.  She moved to the United States when she was six and spent most of her time growing up in Atlanta, Georgia.  She was a competitive gymnast growing up and an active gymnastics coach through her twenties and thirties.  She now resides in Wesley Chapel with her husband and son.  Katrina earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ambassador University in Big Sandy, Texas.  She has held numerous positions while working for various large corporations, after which she started her own gymnastics & cheerleading business and worked the last 7 years for Pasco County School District.  Katrina joined Saddlebrook Preparatory School in May of 2019.  She is excited to be a member of the Spartan family, she looks forward to going above and beyond to assist our students, families and staff.  During her free time, she enjoys watching her son play competitive golf, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.

Mr. Michael Stevens

Mr. Michael Stevens

Student Services Coordinator

Major (Retired) Michael Stevens was born in Atlanta, Georgia and joined the Army immediately following his high school graduation.  While serving, Michael attended the Ranger Course and was later selected for the Army’s Officer Candidate School. He went on to graduate from the University of Hawaii-West Oahu with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities. Michael Retired with 21 years of service and began Graduate School with a focus on education at the University of South Florida in 2016.  Michael and his family have lived around the world and enjoy everything from kayaking Florida’s rivers to attending the many of the cultural festivals held in the Tampa Bay area. Michael has coached soccer and officiated wrestling while supporting his daughters through careers in volleyball and competitive cheerleading.  Mr. Stevens brings a refreshing and disciplined approach to our boarding program while caring for our students in the same manner as he did for soldiers in past decades.
